Dutch singer-songwriter Carlyn Eliza mixes her unique and jazzy voice with very catchy pop tunes.

It calls to mind artists such as Selah Sue, Amy Winehouse and Jamie Cullum.

In that vein, Carlyn will just as often cover a dance track or incorporate classical music into her compositions.

Having sung and played the piano since age eight, she developed an avid interest in jazz, passed down from her father’s record collection.

Carlyn eventually earned her degrees from Leiden University and VU University Amsterdam, after which she left to study music at Point Blank Music School in London (UK) to hone her abilities in writing, producing and recording a lot of songs.

Her first Single ‘Don’t Know Where I Belong’ will be released on June 19th. She plays a release gig in Leiden that same day.
